- Basic Photoshop concepts and overview of tools (including using background and foreground colours, making text work, file formats and more)
- Methods of acquiring images
- Using the marquee, lasso, magic wand, rubber stamp, paint, pen, crop, feather and other tools
- Selecting complex shapes, and moving, exporting, saving, and reloading a selection
- Useful keyboard commands
- Layering, transforming, distorting, blurring and sharpening an image
- Using rushes, brush modes, special effects filters, and aligning image with rules
- Converting the image type
- Channels, selection and effects
- Adding and deleting Colour modes, and correction, brightness and contrast adjustment techniques
- Colourising grey scale images
- Removing unwanted detail and correcting damaged images
- Defining then applying patterns, and global and selective reversion
- Resolution, and up and down re-sampling
- Layers and animation
- Using the animation palette, previewing, exporting, and tweening
