I found that the web design starter course at ELATT was a great introduction to the fundamentals of HTML and CSS. The tutor, Michael, was clearly very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his subject and was always open to questions and willing to explain things further so as to ensure that the whole group was keeping up with the course and with each other.

It was great to work through the subject matter in a group and I feel that this gave me the opportunity to see others' points of view on web design and to discover elements of the topic that I might have missed had I been studying on my own. The course addressed HTML and CSS from the ground up and there was no point where I felt that any gaps had been left in my knowledge that might have prevented me from progressing in my learning.

Having two classes a week for the duration of the course meant that the previous class was always fresh in my mind at the beginning of the following class, and I feel that this helped me to make the most out of the new skills and knowledge that I gained.
