The course focuses on formatting and laying out your site using CSS instead of tables. It examines advanced design techniques such as:
- positioning and floating structural elements
- CSS based navigation
- Developing knowledge on Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
- Converting web mockups into websites
- Manipulating images to be web friendly
- Creating a favicon for your URL display
- Using the coding interface
- Creating and styling user accessible forms
- Creating and styling interactive elements such as tabbed panels with Spry
- Creating login and feedback forms using PHPMyadmin, and MySQL
- Course ends with the production of a professional web site using all design and functionality learned
